National Television Appearances Announced

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV men's basketball will make at least 20 appearances to a national audience during the 2016-17 season as the Mountain West announced its national television package on Thursday.

The Runnin' Rebels will be seen on a ESPN national television channel at least three times this season, with an additional three being possible through the network's Netflex option. UNLV also has eight regular-season games scheduled for CBS Sports Network and one on Root Sports. Additional games will be available online through ESPN3, Campus Insiders and the Mountain West Network.

UNLV's first national TV appearance will be vs. Duke on Saturday, Dec. 10 on ESPN at 2:15 p.m., from the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. A week later, the Runnin' Rebels will be on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 vs. Oregon in Portland.

UNLV's next TV game will be at home at the Thomas & Mack Center vs. Kansas on CBS Sports Network at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22. Its MW opener at Colorado State on Wednesday, Dec. 28 is slated for ESPN Netflex (ESPNU or ESPN3). The network will determine which channel its netflex games will appear on approximately 21 days in advance. If that game is selected for ESPNU it will either be at 7 p.m. PT or 8 p.m. PT.

UNLV's game vs. Boise State on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at the Thomas & Mack Center will be shown on CBS Sports Network at 8 p.m., while its next game at Utah State on Saturday, Jan. 7 will also be on CBS Sports Network at 3 p.m. PT.

The Runnin' Rebels' next two games, which were both originally scheduled for Wednesdays have been moved to Tuesdays. UNLV will play at New Mexico on Tuesday, Jan. 10 on either ESPNU (8 p.m. PT) or ESPN3 (6 p.m. PT), and at home vs. San Diego State on Tuesday, Jan. 17 on either ESPNU (8 p.m.) or ESPN3 (time TBD).

Saturday, Jan. 21 vs. Air Force at the Thomas & Mack Center will be a 3 p.m. game televised on Root Sports, Wednesday, Jan. 25 at Wyoming is slated for 6 p.m. PT show by the Mountain West Network/Campus Insiders, while Saturday, Jan. 28 at San Jose State is a 7 p.m. game with no TV scheduled. That contest vs. the Spartans will most likely be streamed by the host institution.

UNLV's next three games will all be on CBS Sports Network: Wednesday, Feb. 1 vs. New Mexico at the Thomas & Mack Center at 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4 vs. Colorado State at the Thomas & Mack Center at 3 p.m., and at Nevada, Reno on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m.

UNLV's home game vs. San Jose State on Saturday, Feb. 11, will be shown on the MWN/Campus Insiders (time TBD).

UNLV's game at San Diego State, which was originally scheduled for a Saturday, will now be on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Air Force will be a 6 p.m. PT game and shown on the MWN/Campus Insiders, while Saturday, Feb. 25 vs. Nevada, Reno at the Thomas & Mack Center will be televised by CBS Sports Network (time TBD).

UNLV's regular-season home finale vs. Utah State on Wednesday, March 1 will be shown on ESPNU at 8 p.m., while its regular-season finale at Fresno State on Saturday, March 4 will be on ESPN3 at 4 p.m.

The Mountain West Tournament, which is scheduled for Wednesday-Saturday, March 8-11, will be televised by CBS Sports Network with the championship game appearing on CBS.

UNLV's home games that have not been selected to be shown as part of the conference's national TV package are expected to be video streamed online.
