LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Weather permitting, the UNLV women's tennis team will open its dual-match season this weekend by hosting a trio of teams at the Fertitta Tennis Complex: New Mexico State on Friday, Pacific on Saturday and Weber State on Sunday. All three matches will begin at 10 a.m. PT and admission is free of charge.
The Rebels are coming off a strong performance at the elite Freeman Memorial Championships last week as the eight-time Mountain West Conference champions are looking for another strong season after finishing 24-2 overall a year ago. Head coach Kevin Cory enters his 18th season at UNLV, which makes him the second-longest tenured coach at the school, behind only men's golf leader Dwaine Knight (30th season at UNLV).
