March 8, 2017 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV's football recruiting class officially grew by one Wednesday as head coach Tony Sanchez announced the formal addition of Kyle Moses to the list.
Rated as a three-star recruit by Scout, Moses is a 5-11, 185-pound cornerback out of San Diego's Mater Dei Catholic High School. One of two high school defensive backs inked by the Rebels this year, Moses played for coach John Joyner and helped the Crusaders to a 12-2 record and CIF regional appearance in 2016. His senior year included posting 68 total tackles, five interceptions and 15 pass breakups.
"Kyle is a great young player out of Mater Dei in San Diego," Sanchez said. "He's a real physical guy with a really quick twitch. We feel like he can add some good depth in the secondary and we're excited about having him join Rebel Nation."
The late addition means UNLV's 2017 recruiting class bumps to 19 total players. No less than 10 of the 14 high school signees on the list earned at least one three-star ranking from either Rivals, Scout or 247Sports.
UNLV is currently in week two of its spring practice calendar, which leads up to the annual Spring Showcase on April 1 starting at noon at the soccer stadium on campus.
