LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field team closed out the Mt. SAC Relays Saturday at Murdock Stadium on the campus of El Camino College.

The 4x100m quartet of Ayana Gales, Destiny Smith-Barnett, Najia Hudspeth and Drea Austin ran their second fastest time of the outdoor campaign with their fifth-place showing (44.66), while Smith-Barnett competed in the 100m in a time of 11.32 (10th place).

At Friday's Bryan Clay Invite in Azusa, the same quartet of student-athletes captured first in their race (44.98), a Bryan Clay Invite meet record. Smith-Barnett also posted a personal-best time of 11.21 (fourth place) in the 100m as the top collegiate competitor. She finished right behind a trio of Olympians Dafne Schippers (Netherlands), Tianna Bartoletta (USA) and Desiree Henry (United Kingdom).

The Rebels will return to the Golden State next weekend for the Bulldog Invitational held Saturday, April 22 and hosted by Fresno State in Clovis.
