Pilgrim Finishes Third At NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Oregon (UNLVRebels.com) - Rebel senior Kaysee Pilgrim finished third overall in the high jump on the fourth and final day of the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon. Pilgrim's best jump measured 6-0.75 (1.85m).

"We are so proud of Kaysee," said head coach Yvonne Wade. "She has definitely proved herself to be one of the best in the country and being top three at the NCAA Championships is an awesome accomplishment."

By virtue of her finish, the Phoenix native earned First-Team U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America honors. Additionally, Destiny Smith-Barnett (100m) and the Rebel 4x100m relay (Smith-Barnett, Kaysha Love, Taylor Pegram and Drea Austin) claimed Second-Team All-America recognition after their respective performances Thursday.
