LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's tennis team improved to 2-0 with a 7-0 shutout of Weber State Sunday morning at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Rebels quickly took both completed doubles matches and then took every court in singles.

Junior Aiwen Zhu improved to 12-1 in her career at the No. 1 singles position by downing Caitlin Herb, 6-3, 6-3.

REBEL OF THE MATCH: Sophomore En-Pei Huang went 2-0 on the day with a 6-1 doubles win at the top of the lineup and a 6-3, 6-1 victory at the second position in singles.

STAT OF THE MATCH: UNLV did not lose even a set vs. the Wildcats.

QUOTABLE:

NET NOTES: UNLV has not allowed its opponents to score yet this season … The Rebels will not be back at home again until hosting a doubleheader February 10.

NEXT FOR THE REBELS: UNLV will take part in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend national event when it plays at No. 11 Cal Friday. The winner of that match will play the winner of Mississippi State vs. Texas the following day.
