Zhu Splits Singles Matches At All-American

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV Tennis senior Aiwen Zhu split her two

matches in singles qualifying during the first day of action at the 2018 Riviera/ITA Women's All-

American Championships being played at the Riviera Country Club.

 

Zhu, ranked 49th, opened with a 6-3, 6-3 win over No. 69 Mia Rabinowitz of Illinois. She then fell by the same score to Cal's sixth-seeded and 29th-ranked Anna Bright.

 

Next up, Zhu will play doubles with partner En-Pei Huang in the main draw, which gets underway Thursday.
