COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (UNLVRebels.com) - The No. 21 UNLV baseball team had its seven-game win streak snapped Sunday with a 15-12 loss to the Air Force Falcons in the finale of their Mountain West series at Falcon Field. The Falcons pushed out to an 8-0 lead after the first inning of play only to see the Rebels chip away and knot the score at 9-all in the fifth before they took a one-run lead, 10-9, in the fifth. Air Force flipped the game back to its favor with a six-run sixth en route to its four-run win.

With the loss, the Scarlet & Gray sits at 18-3 on the year and 5-1 in Mountain West play. The Falcons, on the other hand, improved to 7-12 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

Air Force's offense erupted for eight runs off of nine hits â€" eight of which were singles â€" and a sacrifice fly against UNLV starter Trevor Horn in the first; however, his teammates picked him up by outscoring the Falcons 10-1 over the third and fifth innings. Horn settled down and only allowed one run off of five hits between the second through the fifth. Unfortunately, he issued a lead-off walk in the sixth, which would eventually be the game-tying run and the first of six the Falcons scored in the frame.

UNLV attempted to mount a comeback bid in the eighth with two runs, but the offense was unable to push across any more scores as it left two runners on base.

THE TURNING POINT: One pitch after making a pitching change, the Rebels' Blaze Bohall (1-1) surrendered a two-run home run that put Air Force back in the lead at 11-10. Bohall was able to get the next batter out, but three straight hits followed, the last of which was a two-run double that extended the Falcons' lead to three runs at 13-10.

REBEL OF THE GAME: Kyle Isbel went 4-for-5 with four RBI and three runs. All four of Isbel's RBI came off a grand slam in the third inning that sparked UNLV's come-from-behind bid. He led off the third with a single and came around to score off Nick Rodriguez's game-tying, two-run home run, which made it 9-all. He scored, once more, in the eighth after leading off the inning with a walk.

QUOTABLE: "I'm just as proud of our guys today as I was yesterday," said head coach Stan Stolte. "To fall behind 8-0 out of the chute and battle back again is what we're all about. Anytime you can come in here and win two out of three, you'll take it. Trevor Horn showed a ton of heart; he could have mailed it in early, but he kept battling into the sixth. I'm really proud of him. Our bullpen was taxed and he gutted out five-plus innings."

STAT OF THE GAME: Six Rebels recorded multiple-hit games with a team-high four coming from Isbel, while Nick Ames, Max Smith, Bryson Stott, Vince Taormina and Rodriguez had two each.
