NAPA, California (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's golf wrapped up its regular season Tuesday with the final round of the Silverado Showdown in Napa, California, and carded its best score of the tournament with an 11-over 299. Overall, the Rebels finished in 16th place at 43-over (907).
Sophomore
Nastasia Kossacky was UNLV's highest finisher on the leaderboard after each round and shot the top single round score of any Rebel at the showdown after carding a 1-under 71 Tuesday to finish in a tie for 34th at 6-over (222). Freshman
Polly Mack was UNLV's next highest finisher in a tie for 58th at 12-over (228), followed by junior
Elizabeth Prior in a tie for 62nd at 13-over (229). Fellow junior
Shannon Oh was one shot behind Prior at 14-over (230) in a tie for 65th and senior
Mackenzie Raim finished in 75th at 16-over (232).
Eighth-ranked USC, who led after day one, but trailed after day two, had the best team round of the tournament Tuesday, carding a 6-under (282) to finish atop the leaderboard at 5-under (859) with a 10-stroke win. California, who was fifth heading into the day, also had a stellar round with at 3-under to jump up to a second-place finish at 5-over (869). A three-way Pac-12 tie for third rounded out the top five as No. 13 Arizona, No. 4 Stanford and top-ranked UCLA all finished at 6-over (870).
USC's Jennifer Chang was the wire-to-wire leader and ultimately earned co-medalist honors with UCLA's Patty Tavatanakit at 8-under (208). Arizona's Bianca Pagdanganan and Cal's Jiyoon Jang each came in a shot behind Chang and Tavatanakit at 7-under (209) to tie for third, followed by four players in a tie for fifth at 3-under (213) - Texas' Sophia Schubert, Arizona State's Olivia Mehaffey, Stanford's Mika Liu and UCLA's Lilia Vu.

•The Silverado Showdown marked the last regular season tournament for UNLV, who will compete in the 2018 Mountain West Championship in Rancho Mirage, California, next week
•The tournament, co-hosted by Oregon and Colorado, featured eight teams in Golfweek's top-25.
•UNLV has won two tournaments this spring, both in Las Vegas
•UNLV recently recorded its second home tournament win of the 2017-18 season as they shot a 17-over at the inaugural Rebel Beach Invitational at Spanish Trail Golf Club Feb. 26-27 to win by two strokes. They also won their own Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown in October 2017
•Their second tournament win this spring was a 53-stroke win at the Jackrabbit Invitational, March 12-13
• Last season, UNLV won the Mountain West Championship for the second straight year
