May 27, 2018

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - One day after Avi'Tal Wilson-Perteete qualified for the 800m at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, UNLV's Jasmyne Graham and the 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay teams punched their tickets to the national meet in Eugene, Oregon, after their performances at the West Preliminary at Sacramento State's Hornet Stadium.

The 4x100m relay comprised of Jasmyne Graham, Najia Hudspeth, Kaysha Love and Destiny Smith-Barnett clocked a time of 44.89 to claim the 12th qualifying spot. Graham came back later in the day and ran 13.25 in the 100m hurdles to finish 10th.

The three-day meet concluded with the Najia Hudspeth, Nylia Hudspeth, Love and Wilson-Perteete teaming up to place ninth in the 4x400m relay in 3:35.05 -- the fifth fastest in UNLV's all-time performance list.

Wilson-Perteete had already earned a spot in Oregon after not only running the second-fastest time (2:01.14) at the West Preliminary, but also in the NCAAs this season.

QUOTABLE: "I am extremely proud of all of our Rebels who competed here in Sacramento," said head coach Yvonne Wade. "We had a couple of close disappointments, but we were able to get some events qualified through. It's great to see our Rebels step up and compete against some of the best in the country and believe that they are among peers and they deserve to be here!"
