QUOTABLE
"It was a fantastic pair of wins for our women today. We really looked bad up in Reno on Tuesday, so this turnaround is a fantastic testament to the character of this team. In the end, resiliency is the best predictor of long-term improvement, and the women's team did a fantastic job of being resilient this weekend. On paper, both Denver and UCSB are better teams, but Rebel Women were just too much for them. We had a lot of the team step up big, but especially
Carissa Armijo - she was unstoppable with a triple win today in the toughest events. Also, Julia had three wins, and was the fastest split on a very exciting 400 Free Relay to finish the meet. These two set the tone, and the team really came along for the ride.
The men raced well, against two very strong squads. We had especially nice top-3 finishes from two freshmen,
Michal Cukanow and
Hayden Cornellison. We are looking forward to Wyoming next week, one of our biggest rivals on the men's side"
- HEAD COACH BEN LOORZ
NEXT FOR THE REBELS:Â The Rebels will host Wyoming during their Senior Day at the Jim Reitz Pool Saturday January 26th at 11 am.
