LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Six Runnin' Rebels scored in double figures as the UNLV men's basketball team routed West Coast Baptist College, 112-54, in an exhibition game Friday night at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Junior guard Jonah Antonio led UNLV in scoring with 23 points as he was 7 of 11 from 3-point range (6 of 10 in the first half), and junior forward Mbacke Diong scored 19 on 9 of 12 shooting. Junior guard Amauri Hardy recorded a double-double with 14 points and a game-high 10 assists (no turnovers), while senior guard Elijah Mitrou-Long dished out eight assists with just three turnovers.
West Coast Baptist was led by Seth Hanna's 24 points.
BIG LEAD: The Runnin' Rebels led by as many as 58 points late in the second half.
BIG RUN: Trailing 9-8 early in the first half, UNLV went on a 19-0 run to take an 18-point lead (27-9) with 11:06 left in the half.
STATS OF THE GAME: UNLV shot 60 percent from the field (42 of 70), out-rebounded WCBC 52-20, led in fast-break points 38-6, and recorded 27 assists with just 10 turnovers.
RUNNIN' REBELS OF THE GAME: Antonio with seven made 3-pointers and Hardy with 10 assists and no turnovers.
