NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's top doubles team dropped a heartbreaker and was eliminated from the consolation bracket Thursday at the elite Oracle ITA National Fall Championships being staged at the Newport Beach Tennis Club.
 
Rebels En-Pei Huang and Izumi Asano, winners of the ITA Mountain Regional, faced Auburn's Taylor Russo and Selin Ovunc, who won the ITA Southern Regional. The UNLV tandem took the first set and built a 4-1 lead in the third-set super-tiebreaker before ultimately falling 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9).
 
Huang and Asano ended their fall season with a record of 8-2.
