LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Â The UNLV Lady Rebels are in the midst of three straight road games, as they return to action Saturday with a 2 pm contest at USC in the Galen Center in Los Angeles. This is the fourth time in the past five years the teams have met, and the home team has won in the first three meetings (USC twice, UNLV once).
There will be a live video stream available through the Pac-12 online network at Pac-12.com/live/usc. Wyatt Tomchek will handle the radio broadcast on UNLVRebels.com with Mark Wasik serving as color analyst.
UNLV Game Notes Â
♦ UNLV will follow Saturday's game with a Monday night contest at Grand Canyon, before UNLV is finally back home against Dec. 20 against Virginia.
♦ The Trojans are the second Power 5 opponent of the season for UNLV, after a 57-45 loss to Duke in the second game of the year in a contest that was much closer than the final score. UNLV is looking for a win over a Power 5 team for the second straight year, after claiming a home win over Florida in December 2018 in Las Vegas.
♦ UNLV has started to establish itself as one of the top defensive teams in the Mountain West, and currently lead the league in field goal defense (37.1%), three-point field goal defense (23.8%) and rebound margin at +5.0.
♦ Senior center Rodjanae Wade is the only player in the Mountain West that is averaging a double-double as she is posting 13.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per contest, which ties her for 27th in the nation. Her five double-doubles on the season also tops the Mountain West and is tied for 12th in the country as well.
♦ The 2019-20 UNLV Lady Rebel squad are one of the youngest and least experienced teams in the Mountain West this season after graduating four senior starters. UNLV has 10 underclassmen on this year's squad, with seven freshmen and three sophomores, while the four-member senior class had a total of two career starts (as a Lady Rebel) entering the season.
