UNLV Game NotesÂ
♦ The Wolf Pack won the first meeting between the two this season after claiming a 70-62 win in Reno on Jan. 30. UNLV will be looking to not only split the season series, and also to even up the points in the Silver State Series, the all-sports competition between the two schools sponsored by IBEW and Nevada Donor Network.
♦ The Lady Rebels hold a tight lead for fifth place in the MW standings, bringing an 8-7 mark into Wednesday's contest, ahead of Utah State (7-8), who UNLV hold the tiebreaker over, and UNR (6-8). A win over the Wolf Pack would almost ensure the Lady Rebels of fifth place in the final standings. The top-five teams in the final conference standings all receive a bye on the first day of the MW Tournament, while the bottom six will play in the opening round on March 10.
♦ UNLV is 19-1 all-time against UNR in Las Vegas, but the Wolf Pack claimed the last meeting, 77-73 in double-overtime in the 2019 MW Quarterfinals.
♦ UNLV is 9-4 when holding teams under 60 points this season, and 1-12 when giving up over 60 points a game.
♦ UNLV is 27-7 in league play (23-6 in the Cox Pavilion, 4-0 in the Thomas & Mack Center) over the past four seasons. That includes last season's school record 8-1 home mark.
♦ A win on Wednesday would be a personal milestone for head coach Kathy Olivier, as the Lady Rebel alum currently stands at 399 career victories, between her time at UCLA and UNLV.
