Runnin' Rebels Snap Streaks With 83-72 Win At Boise State

Wednesday night's victory was UNLV's first in Boise in seven years and ends four-game overall losing skid to the Broncos.

BOISE, Idaho (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV senior guard Noah Robotham scored a season-high 21 points and dished out a career-high 10 assists for his first double-double, while committing no turnovers as the UNLV men's basketball team won at Boise State, 83-72, Wednesday night.

Robotham was one of four Runnin' Rebels (12-10, 6-4) to score in double figures as senior guard Kris Clyburn added 17 points, sophomore guard Amauri Hardy contributed 15 and junior forward Nick Blair had 14.

The Broncos (10-13, 5-5) also had four score in double figures, led by Derrick Alston's 17 points.

TURNING POINT: Clyburn's 3-pointer with 4:57 to go gave UNLV the lead for good at 71-68. The Runnin' Rebels pushed their advantage to eight points (78-70) with 54 seconds left.

STAT OF THE GAME: UNLV shot 53.8 percent (14 of 26) from 3-point range. It marked the fifth time in the last seven games that the Runnin' Rebels have made at least 13 3-pointers.




STREAKS SNAPPED: The win snapped a number of streaks for the Runnin' Rebels. It was UNLV's first win at Boise State since 2012, ending a five-game losing streak at Taco Bell Arena. It also snapped a four-game losing skid to Boise State overall and ended a three-game losing streak for the Runnin' Rebels over the last week and a half.

RUNNIN' REBEL OF THE GAME: Robotham was 6 of 8 from the field, including 5 of 6 on 3-pointers. He also made all four of his free-throw attempts.

NOTES: 
- This was only the second win for UNLV at Boise State in eight all-time meetings.
- With the win, UNLV is in fourth place in the Mountain West standings.
- UNLV shot 53.8 percent from the field (28 of 52) and is now 5-0 this season when it shoots 50 percent or better.
- UNLV out-rebounded its opponent for the 18th time in 22 games this year. The Runnin' Rebels had a 29-26 advantage on the boards vs. the Broncos.
- Boise State only made 9 of 17 free-throw attempts.
- The Broncos led by as many as 10 points in the first half.
- Boise State outscored UNLV 40-22 in points in the paint.
- The Broncos jumped out to an 8-0 lead to start the game.
- After Boise State shot 61.5 percent in the first half (16 of 26), it made just 44.8 percent in the second (13 of 29). Boise State was 1 of 10 on 3-pointers in the second half.
- UNLV has made at least one 3-pointer in a NCAA-record 1,061 straight games.
