TUCSON, ARIZONA (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's golf team wrapped up the Wildcat Invitational Tuesday at Sewailo Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona, finishing in sixth place at 37-over (901) after carding a 19-over 307 in the final round. Senior
Elizabeth Prior, who has already captured two tournament medalist honors this spring, finished in a tie for second at 2-over 218.
Sophomore
Polly Mack was the Rebel's next highest finisher in a tie for 11th 7-over (223), followed by senior
Shannon Oh in a tie for 42nd at 16-over (232). Sophomore
Cathy Liu finished in 62nd at 20-over (236), freshman
Veronica Joels tied for 71st at 24-over (240) and senior
Alyssa Getty, playing as an individual, finished in a tie for 87th at 31-over (247).
Arizona State jumped from fifth to first to take the team title after shooting a 2-under (286) in the final round for a three-round score of 22-over (886). Oregon finished in second at 29-over (893), followed by host Arizona in third at 30-over (894), Iowa State in fourth at 32-over (896) and San Diego State in fifth at 36-over (900).
SDSU's Gioia Carpinelli took individual medalist honors at 1-under 215, with Prior and Arizona State's Alessandra Fanali tying for second at 2-over. Oregon State's Olivia Benzin, Oregon's Petra Salko and Arizona's Bianca Pagdanganan all finished at 3-over to tie for fourth, rounding out the top five.
NEXT UP FOR THE REBELS: The Rebels will have a weekend off before heading back to Tucson for the Mountain View Invitational, hosted by Kansas State and Missouri, the following weekend, March 22-24.

REBEL NOTES:
• The Rebels finished second at their second annual Rebel Beach Invitational at Spanish Trail Country Club in February, which is co-hosted by Long Beach State. Prior blew out the field with a seven-shot victory for her second straight tournament win
• The Rebels opened the spring with a team win at the Battle of Boulder Creek, with Prior and Mack tying for medalist honors
• Prior and Mack were named Co-Mountain West Women's Golfers of the Week after their win at Boulder Creek, then Prior earned it a second consecutive week after her win at Rebel Beach
