Jada Hicks was named the Mountain West's Outdoor Athlete of the Week after her showing at the UNLV Spring Invitational & Sheila Tarr-Smith Multis. This is the first weekly award for the freshman from Upland, California.
Hicks ran a personal-best time of 13.45 in the 100m hurdles to finish second overall in the event at the home meet contested at Myron Partridge Stadium & Sheila Tarr-Smith Field. Moreover, Hicks' time ranks as the third best in the program's all-time outdoor performance list, and it's first in the MW and sixth in the nation, to date, during the 2019 outdoor campaign.
During the indoor season, the Upland High School graduate earned MW Indoor All-Conference Team recognition after she finished second overall in the 60m hurdles.
