TUCSON, Ariz. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's golf team shot a final-round 5-under-par 283 Sunday and finished fourth at the Mountain West Championship, which was held at OMNI Tucson National's Catalina Course (par 72, 7,194 yards).
New Mexico held off Colorado State to win the team title by three strokes. The Lobos finished the 54-hole event with a record 33-under 831 after a final-round-low 14-under 274 to claim their first conference championship since 2014. Fresno State placed third at 26-under, while the Rebels finished with a score of 25-under. San Diego State rounded out the top five at 24-under.
New Mexico's Galven Green won the individual championship by defeating teammate Sean Carlon on the third playoff hole. The pair tied for first at 13-under 203. Boise State's Cameron Barzekoff finished third at 12-under, Fresno State's Alex Lee was fourth at 11-under and UNLV senior
Harry Hall finished in a three-way tie for fifth at 9-under.
SILVER STATE SERIES POINTS: With UNLV finishing ahead of UNR, the Rebels earned three more points in the Silver State Series presented by IBEW and the Nevada Donor Network. UNLV now leads this year's competition, 22.5-13.5. To track the scoring, click here.
REBEL OF THE DAY: Hall turned in UNLV's best individual score of the final round with a 5-under 67, moving him from a tie for 15th into a tie for fifth. He recorded an eagle, four birdies and a bogey on the day.

• Hall was named a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar last year.
• UNLV has played in a NCAA-record 30 straight regionals.
• This year marks head coach Dwaine Knight's 32nd season leading the Rebel program.
