LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's top players all won their opening matches to kick off the program's tournament schedule Friday at the Women's Tennis Fall Invitational inside the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
 
Joining the Rebels this weekend are competitors from Long Beach State, NAU, Delaware and Southern Utah.
 
In the top flight of singles, En-Pei Huang downed Daniela Cozzi of Southern Utah, 6-2, 6-2, and Izumi Asano defeated Emile Haakansson of NAU, 6-0, 7-5.
 
Flight Two saw Samantha Li get past Jessica Stefan of SUU, 7-6, 3-6, 7-5, and Connie Li sweep Jojo Bach of Delaware, 6-3, 6-2.
 
The hosts also won two matches in Flight One Doubles as Huang/Asano prevailed 8-6 and Li and Li emerged 8-7 to advance.
 
Action resumes at 10 a.m. Saturday and all matches are free of charge
