DURHAM, North Carolina (UNLVRebels.com) -Â The UNLV women's soccer team fell in the first of back-to-back games against top-25 competition Thursday night in a 3-0 loss to 12th-ranked Duke in the 2019 Duke Nike Classic from Koskinen Stadium. The Rebels record now stands at an even 2-2, while the Blue Devils improved to 3-1-1.
TURNING POINT:Â Duke's Mackenzie Pluck scored a pair of goals 15 minutes apart in the first half (24th, 39th minute) to give the Blue Devils a 2-0 advantage.
STAT OF THE GAME: UNLV was outshot 23-6 for the night, including 7-2 on shots on goal.
REBEL OF THE GAME:
McKenna Sullivan finished with a team-high three shots, half of UNLV's total of six, and had one shot on goal as well.

UP NEXT:Â UNLV closes out action in the Duke Nike Classic Sunday morning with an 8 am contest against No. 1 North Carolina. This will mark the first-ever meeting with the Tar Heels, and the first time in program history the Rebels have faced the top-ranked team in the nation.
