LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -  It's the second Lady Rebel School Day of the season Wednesday for UNLV women's basketball, as it hosts Utah State at 12 pm in the Cox Pavilion. Over 1,300 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students from several local elementary schools will be attending the game, and they will take a tour of the UNLV camps and hear from staff members from UNLV Admissions before then coming over to the Cox Pavilion for the Mountain West contest.
Tickets for UNLV women's basketball are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and staff, while kids 17 and under are free at UNLV Lady Rebel contests. Tickets are also $3 off if bought online at UNLVRebels.com by the night before the game.
There will be a live video stream available on the Mountain West Network, with the link also available on UNLVRebels.com. Ben Wilson and Amie Callaway will provide the call, while Wyatt Tomchek (play-by-play) and Kevaney Martin (color analyst) will handle the radio broadcast, also on UNLVRebels.com. Â
UNLV Game Notes Â
♦ Wednesday is both the second Lady Rebel School Day of the season, and a chance for UNLV to earn its first season sweep of the season.
♦ Thanks to Saturday's late rally against Colorado State, the Lady Rebels have started the Mountain West season at 7-3, which is tied for the second best ever start for UNLV in MW play, along with the 2001-02 squad. The best 10-game start in UNLV history was the 2017-18 squad that was 8-2 on the way to an eventual 14-4 record and share of the regular season title.
♦  UNLV has won five straight in the series against Utah State, and is 18-0 all-time in Las Vegas against the Aggies.Â
♦ UNLV is 33-8 in league play at home (28-8 in the Cox Pavilion, 4-0 in the Thomas & Mack Center) over the past five seasons. That includes this year's 4-1 mark.
♦ The Aggies meanwhile are just 2-9 away from home this season, and 1-10 in Mountain West play, with the lone victory come at Air Force in a 53-52 victory.
♦ In the first meeting this year, UNLV struggled on offense in the first quarter with just five points, but would eventually claim a 14-point win on the road thanks to a career-best game from Rodjanae Wade (27 points, 15 rebounds).
♦  The 2019-20 UNLV Lady Rebel squad are one of the youngest and least experienced teams in the Mountain West this season after graduating four senior starters. UNLV has 10 underclassmen on this year's squad, with seven freshmen and three sophomores, while the four-member senior class had a total of two career starts (as a Lady Rebel) entering the season.
