Once again, UNLV Volleyball not only performed on the court this past season, but its student-athletes took care of business during the 2019-20 academic year. Despite the Spring 2020 semester being hindered by the COVID-19 pandemic and all classes being moved to online learning, the Rebel student-athletes were able to register a program-best Spring GPA of 3.81. Additionally, the team's cumulative GPA of 3.57 ranks as the third-highest in program history.
The Spring 2020 semester GPA of all UNLV student-athletes was a department-record 3.22, shattering the old mark of 3.09 set during Fall 2018. The cumulative GPA following Spring 2020 was also a department-record at 3.13, eclipsing the previous record of 3.09 recorded in Spring 2019. Moreover, Rebel student-athletes have achieved a collective GPA of at least 3.0 for a record sixth straight semester.
Overall, UNLV Volleyball had 12 student-athletes record a 3.0 or better semester GPA, with both
Erin Davis and
Thea Sweder posting perfect 4.0 GPAs. In all, 12 members of the team boast a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA. Eleven of the squad's student-athletes earned Dean's List honors
In Fall 2019, UNLV Volleyball had a department-best semester GPA of 3.47, with 12 student-athletes recording a 3.0 or better semester and cumulative GPA. Eight Rebels earned Dean's List honors. The squad also had 10 members named to the Fall 2019 Academic All-MW Team.
