LOS ANGELES (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's and women's diving teams completed their first round of dives with a pair of second-place finishes on day one of the Bruin Diving Invitational Friday afternoon at UCLA.
The Rundown – Women:
*Junior
Montse Moreno finished in second place in the women's 1-meter for UNLV with a combined score of 521.00.
*In her debut for the Rebel women, freshman
Isabella Bassock posted a score of 348 in the 1-meter competition to place ninth.
The Rundown – Men:
*Freshman
Jamie Spilchak jump-started his career in second place for the Rebels in the men's 3-meter with a total score of 528.40 to place second.
*Rounding out the Scarlet and Gray's opening day efforts, senior
Jesse Cawley took fifth in the 3-meter with a score of 506.40.
NEXT FOR THE REBELS: The Rebels return to action Saturday at 12:35 pm for the women's 3-meter and men's platform on day two of the UCLA-hosted competition.
