Rebels In Seventh As Second Round Of Wolf Pack Classic Suspended Because Of Darkness

George Leigh and Caden Fioroni led UNLV in Reno on Monday.

RENO, Nev. (UNLVRebels.com) The UNLV men's golf team was in a tie for seventh place as darkness fell Monday and suspended play during the second round of the Wolf Pack Classic, which is being hosted by UNR at Hidden Valley Country Club (par 72, 7,302 yards).

When play was halted, New Mexico was in first at 3-under, followed by San Francisco at 3-over. UNR was third at 7-over, UCLA was fourth at 9-over and Long Beach State rounded out the top five at 11-over. There are a total of 15 teams competing.
The Rebels shot an opening-round 13-over 301 earlier in the day.

Individually, UNR's Trey Davis is atop the leaderboard at 3-under. There were a total of four golfers under par when play was stopped with two through 14 holes in the second round and the other two through 16.

UNLV's George Leigh and Caden Fioroni are both tied for 17th at 3-over. Leigh shot a first-round 3-under 69, while Fioroni shot an opening-round 75. Leigh will resume the second round on the 16th hole, while Fioroni will be on the 15th.

There are a total of 80 golfers competing. 

The tournament's second round will resume Tuesday morning, immediately followed by a final round of 18 holes.
