LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete in the Golden State for the second week in a row on Saturday for a meet hosted by California Baptist. The three-team competition, which also features Division III Pomona-Pitzer, is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. at Lancer Aquatics Center.

After opening their season a week ago at the USC Invitational, the Rebel women come into their second meet with three swimmers who hold the fastest times in the MW this season across multiple events. Among that list is super senior Kate Afanasyeva in the 50 back (24.57) and 100 back (52.98), as well as seniors Gabby Lizzul in the 200 fly (1:59.66), 400 IM (4:20.61) and 500 free (4:54.47), and Kristina Schneider in the 50 free (23.01) and 100 free (50.92).

On the other hand, the Scarlet and Gray's men's squad features its own trio of leaders who sit atop their league's time chart on the year in various individual specialties. Junior Panos Bolanos headlines that list in the 50 back (22.11), 100 back (47.48) and 200 back (1:44.01), while freshman Adnan Beji in the 100 breast (64.37) and 200 breast (1:57.65) and Dominik Bujak in the 200 IM (1:48.79) and 400 IM (3:50.58) round it out.
