TULSA, Okla. (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's doubles teams could not get through qualifying action Monday at the Men's ITA All-American Championship being played at Tulsa's Michael D. Case Center.
Anton Ornberg and
Jackson Atherton won their opening match using a super-tiebreaker to upset UC Irvine's Emmanuel Coste and Riccardo Roberto, 6-1, 1-6, 1-0 (10-7) in the first round. However, the Rebel pair was downed later in the day by Penn's Edoardo Grazian and Kevin Zhu, 6-3, 6-4.
UNLV's other entrants,
Christopher Bulus and
Jordan Sauer, were defeated by Baylor's Tadeous Paroulek and Jacob Brumm, 7-6, 6-1.
