LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's and women's diving teams will head to Los Angeles to compete in USC's three-day Trojan Diving Invitational being held Friday through Sunday at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
Also competing at the meet will be divers representing host USC, UCLA, Fresno State, Air Force, Cal Poly and Azusa Pacific.
The competition begins with prelims at 11 a.m. and finals to follow at 12:30 p.m. on the opening days, starting with the men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter dives on Friday and Saturday's women's 3-meter and men's platform events. Sunday's finale will feature the men's 1-meter board and women's platform slated for starts of 11 a.m. for prelims and 12:15 p.m. for finals.
Among the Rebels competing at the meet, sophomore
Vika Yanovska and freshman Dima Tereshchenko lead the Scarlet and Gray's women's and men's squads, respectively. Yanovksa ranks fourth in the Mountain West in the 1-meter (283.40) and 3-meter (288.95) dives, while Tereshchenko is fourth on the 3-meter board (300.15) and eighth on the 1-meter board (284.70) in the WAC this season.
