It will be a late-night Senior Celebration when UNLV (2-8/2-4) closes its home schedule by hosting No. 23 San Diego State (4-6/1-4) ... The Rebel seniors, including the Super Senior class, will be recognized on the field pregame ... The Aztecs will be the fourth ranked team to face UNLV this fall, marking the most ranked opponents for the Rebs since playing five in 2010. Earlier this season UNLV faced three straight ranked teams for the first time in school history. That note does not include undefeated No. 15 UTSA, which was unranked when UNLV lost by a touchdown in San Antonio last month ... The Rebels are coming off their first victory at Allegiant Stadium, 27-13, over Hawai'i while the Aztecs downed UNR in Carson, California, 23-21 ... UNLV is going for a third consecutive victory for the first time since winning four straight in 2013 ... The Rebels are playing their third Friday game this fall and bring in an all-time record of 8-10-1 on that day ... UNLV's first 10 opponents combine for a current mark of 66-37 ... Currently standing 12th in the nation with 108.9.4 YPG, Charles Williams comes in with the most career net rushing yards gained on the FBS level (4,029) among all current players. The reigning MW Offensive Player of the Week recently passed Tim Cornett (2010-13) to become UNLV's career rushing king and is just the fourth Mountain West player to reach the 4,000-yard rushing mark ... UNLV has eight interceptions this season after picking off just two as a team during the abbreviated 2020 season. 

REBELS vs. AZTECS NOTES... 
UNLV has played San Diego State more than any other original MW team (30 times) and the Aztecs lead the series 20-10 ... The Rebels are looking for their first win over SDSU in Las Vegas since 2013 (0-3 since then) ... SDSU's associate head coach/RBs Jeff Horton twice worked at UNLV, serving as an assistant in 1990-91 and then as head coach from 1994-98 ... Aztec WR coach Hunkie Cooper played at UNLV at multiple positions from 1990-91 and later served as the program's radio analyst. He held the UNLV record for most rushing yards in a game by a quarterback with 165 vs. Oregon State in 1991 until it was broken in 2017 ... SDSU offensive analyst Gary Bernardi coached the Rebels' TE/OT from 2005-09.
