SATURDAY'S PREVIEW...
Fresh off its first win of the season, UNLV (1-8/1-4) returns home to host Hawai'i (4-6/1-4) Saturday afternoon ... The teams' 31st all-time meeting will be produced by Spectrum Sports and can only be seen on the mainland via the free app Team1Sports on your mobile device ... The Rebels are coming off a 31-17 victory at New Mexico while the Warriors fell 17-10 at home vs. San Diego State ... UNLV's first nine opponents combine for a current mark of 57-26. Earlier this year the Rebels played three consecutive games vs. ranked teams for the first time in school history and half of the FBS teams who faced UNLV have spent time in the AP Top 25 ... Currently standing 28th in the nation with 91.4 YPG, Charles Williams comes in with the most career net rushing yards gained on the FBS level (3,763) among all current players. Liberty's Joshua Mack has more career yards but a majority of them were gained on the FCS level before transferring to his current school. Williams passed Tim Cornett (2010-13) to become UNLV's career rushing king last week. Next up: the Chuck Wagon needs 34 yards to move past Boise State's Jay Ajayi (3,796 from 2012-14) into fourth place on the Mountain West career rushing list ... Against UNM, UNLV doubled its season sack total with eight (vs. zero allowed). It was the most in a game for the Rebels since nine at Wisconsin in 2003 ... UNLV has six interceptions this season (led by Phillip Hill's three) after picking off just two as a team during the abbreviated 2020 season.

REBELS vs. RAINBOW WARRIORS NOTES...
Hawai'i leads the overall series 18-12 but the Rebels have won nine of the last 17 meetings ... The home team has won this matchup in 10 of the last 12 years with only the UNLV 2016 win in Honolulu and the UH 2019 win in Las Vegas bucking the trend ... Five of the last eight games have been decided by one score ... Among FBS teams, only UNR is as old a Rebel rival as Hawai'i -- both schools first played UNLV in 1969, which was just the second year of the Rebel program ... UNLV has seven players from the Aloha State, including four who have seen time in 2021: starting C Leif Fautanu (University Lab School), starting QB Cameron Friel (Kailua HS), WR Kilinahe Mendiola-Jensen (Punahous School) and DL Anthony Sagapolutele (St. Louis HS).
