LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — It's been nearly 30 years—10,928 days to be exact—since UNLV and Oral Roberts have squared off on the hardwood.

Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year Lindy La Rocque kicks off her second season as the head coach of the Lady Rebels with their first-ever visit to the Mabee Center in Tulsa, Okla. Preseason All-Mountain West sophomore center Desi-Rae Young leads a revamped cast of three transfers, four returners and five freshmen.

Tipoff is 5 p.m. PT with a free livestream provided at ORUAthletics.com/watch. Live audio, featuring Wyatt Tomchek as play-by-play, can also be accessed at UNLVRebels.com.

UNLV captured a 96-77 win against ORU in Las Vegas on Dec. 9, 1991, in the previous meeting between the two teams. That week in history, Michael Jackson's Black or White was No. 1 on the airwaves; Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, the final film with the original series' full cast, topped the box office; the Soviet Union was less than two weeks for a formal dissolution; and Las Vegas's population totaled 755,000 (one-quarter of what it is today).
