Vuk Celic will head overseas to Budapest, Hungary next week to compete in the 2021 European Championships. The swimming portion of the event is scheduled to take place from May 17-23 and can be followed via the meet's
results and
live stream.
Representing her home country of Poland, Wasick brings high rankings into the meet with Europe's ninth-ranked time in the 50m free (24.73) and 20th fastest 100m free (54.66) in 2021. A two-time medalist at the European Championships in short course meters, she will also use the race as another tune up for her fourth Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Celic, who will also compete at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, makes his first international appearance for his native country Serbia since the 2019 season in which he ranked 24th in Europe in the 800m free (7:53.76). Additionally, the Rebel graduate student previously sat among the top 25 on the European rankings list in 2018 with the 23rd fastest mark (15:11.52) in the 1500m free.
