OMAHA (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV men's swimming and diving rising junior Chris Mykkanen concluded his trip to Omaha with a 24th-place finish in the 400m free of Wave II of the U.S. Olympic Trials held in the CHI Health Center.
 
Mykkanen, a product of Newport Beach, California, logged a time of 3:54.24 in prelims to land himself among the top half of 48 swimmers competing in the event on the day. His finish was an improvement of five spots upon his seeding position of 29th among qualifiers entering the weekend.
