Rebels Earn CSCAA Spring Team Scholar All-America Status

UNLV women's swimming and diving receive the scholar recognition with a 3.28 overall GPA

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) –  The UNLV women's swimming and diving program was named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-America team for the Spring 2020 Semester, the national organization announced Tuesday. This marks the 10th time in the last 11 semesters that the Rebel women's program  – which posted a 3.28 GPA  – has earned Scholar recognition.   

"Coach Loorz didn't let a difficult season stand in the way of success," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These are some of the best ambassadors of UNLV and Athletic Director Reed-Francois, President Whitfield, and Dr. Brackley Frayer (Faculty Athletic Representative) can and should be proud of these 35 women."

The Spring Team Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the semester/quarter coinciding with the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. UNLV was among more than 400 institutions to be honored across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions.
