SACRAMENTO (UNLVRebels.com) – Behind three second-half goals, including senior
Aedon Kyra's go-ahead score in the 76th minute, UNLV men's soccer ended a two-game skid Friday night with a 3-1 victory at Sacramento State at Hornet Field.
After trailing 1-0 at the half, the Rebels (3-2) came out of the gates firing immediately with an equalizer in the 46th minute from freshman Lateef Omidiji on an assist by junior
Skyler Goo to draw even with the Hornets (1-4). Nearly 30 minutes later, senior
Marco Gonzalez sent a cross from the right of the box that senior
Aedon Kyra struck in for his third goal of the season to put the Scarlet and Gray up for good. Goo then gave UNLV some added insurance with its final score off senior
Bailey Letherman's feed in the 87th minute.
The three-goal barrage by UNLV responded to Sacramento's goal shortly before the end of the first half in the 44th minute.
The Rebels will remain in Northern California for the final contest of its four-game road trip in the Golden State when it faces Pacific on Sunday at 7 p.m. PT .
