LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's and women's diving teams will spring back into action this weekend when they hit the pool in the 2022 Bruin Diving Invitational Friday (Jan. 14) through Sunday (Jan. 16) at UCLA's Spieker Aquatics Center.
Also competing at the meet will be divers representing the host Bruins, Stanford, Wyoming, California Baptist, USC and UC San Diego, as well as the women's squads from Fresno State, San Diego State, Nebraska and Northern Arizona.
The three-day meet will start with the prelims at 10:30 a.m., which will precede the men's finals at 11:30 a.m. and the women's finals at 1 p.m. each day. The competition will feature the men's 3-meter board and women's 1-meter on Friday, men's platform and women's 3-meter Saturday and women's platform and men's 1-meter in Sunday's finale.
SEASON LEADERS: Among the Rebels competing at the meet, sophomores
Vika Yanovska and
Jamie Spilchak lead the Scarlet and Gray's women's and men's squads on the year, respectively. Yanovksa ranks fourth in the Mountain West in the 1-meter (283.40) and sixth in the 3-meter (288.95) dives. Meanwhile, Spilchak is sixth on both the 1-meter springboard (302.25) and platform (266.05) in the WAC.
