WESTWOOD, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's and women's swimming and diving teams capped their three-day weekend at the 2022 Bruin Diving Invitational Sunday at Spieker Aquatics Center on the campus of UCLA.
Highlighting the Rebels' finishes in the men's 1-meter, freshman
Dima Tereshchenko tacked on his third top-10 performance of the meet as he finished fifth (624.30) and moved up to fourth all-time in the UNLV record book with his final round score (315.9). Nearly adding another top-10 finish, sophomore
Jamie Spilchak came up just short in 11th place (570.45) behind 10th-place finisher Hunter Hollenbeck (570.65) from Stanford.
On the women's side, freshman
Jenna Walch's platform score of 173.05 placed her at 26th to headline UNLV's finishes in that event.
Also competing at the meet were divers representing the host Bruins, Stanford, Wyoming, California Baptist, USC, UC San Diego, as well as the women's teams from Fresno State, San Diego State, Nebraska and Northern Arizona.
UP NEXT: UNLV's women's squad will return to Jim Reitz Pool for a home dual against its rival from up north next weekend when UNR visits on Saturday, Jan. 22.
