LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team completed a doubleheader sweep Saturday by downing UC Riverside 4-1 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The win came just hours after the squad beat New Mexico State 4-0.
The Rebels improved to 3-0 while the Highlanders fell to 0-4.
UNLV grabbed a 1-0 lead by winning doubles matches on courts two and three. In singles, Rebels Zac Brodney, Thomas Navarro and Christopher Bulus all won in straight sets to end the team competition.
REBEL OF THE MATCH: Zac Brodney stayed perfect by winning his doubles match, 6-0, with partner Milos Dabic, and then sweeping Joshua Roth, 6-2, 6-3, at the No. 3 singles spot.
UP NEXT: UNLV rounds out its opening weekend by hosting Weber State on Sunday starting with doubles play at 11 a.m.
