LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — Seattle U outlasted UNLV, 1-0, Sunday night at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
Marc Pedrosa scored in the 62nd minute after chipping the ball to himself for a right-footed strike from the near post. It proved to be the game-winner as the Rebels shot off-target on their three remaining opportunities.
UNLV (1-7-6 overall, 0-4-2 WAC) attacked Seattle (4-6-1, 3-1) from the onset but couldn't come up with a net-finding touch. The Rebels counted 12 shots, including eight in the second half, to Seattle's 10.
Cesar Carbajal missed one-yard wide on his header of
Nico Clasen's corner kick in the eighth minute. Redhawk goalkeeper Akili Kasim just put a toe on
Bubu Medina's run to the goal in the 23rd minute.

UNLV looks ahead to its bye week before visiting Cal Baptist on Friday, Oct. 28, before hosting Utah Valley on Sunday, Oct. 30.
