Rebels Stunned By Late Tiger Goal In 1-1 Draw

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – An 89th-minute goal by Colorado College (6-5-5, 3-2-4) stunned the UNLV women's soccer team (4-9-4, 2-3-4) in a 1-1 draw Thursday night at Peter Johann Memorial Field.

With two games remaining in the regular season, the Rebels move into ninth place in the Mountain West standings with 10 points and are three points behind the required sixth-place for the league's last postseason slot. The Tigers, meanwhile, pull into a tie with Boise State for sixth-place with 13 points.

UNLV's score came on freshman Mallie Ramirez's second goal of the season in the 37th minute following a feed that was initiated by Kaitlyn Kowalchuk and came directly off freshman Savannah Nichols' cross from the right side.

UP NEXT: The Rebels conclude their weekend at Peter Johann Memorial Sunday with a match vs. Air Force at 1 p.m. PT.
