Fioroni Named To Final Fall Haskins Award Watch List

Haskins Watch List - Caden Fioroni

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) –
UNLV men's golf junior Caden Fioroni has been named to the Final Fall Haskins Award Watch List presented by Stifel, the Haskins Foundation announced Monday.

The award is presented to the most outstanding collegiate golfer in the United States. Touted as the "Heisman of Golf," the Haskins Trophy - which dates back to 1971 - is the oldest award in college golf and is named in honor of Fred Haskins, who dedicated his career to teaching junior golfers the art of competitive golf. It is the only award voted on by players, coaches, golf SIDs and select golf media.

A San Diego native, Fioroni leads the team with a 68.58 scoring average through the first four tournaments of the 2022-23 season. Additionally, he has placed among the top-3 finishers in three events, including the Blessings Collegiate, William H. Tucker Intercollegiate and the Wolf Pack Classic.

Fioroni is the first Rebel named to the prestigious list since 2018. Previously, the Scarlet & Gray's Shintaro Ban (2018) was named to the list and former Rebel golfer Ryan Moore won the award in 2005.
