LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV men's swimming sophomore
Dima Tereshchenko has been named the WAC Men's Diver of the Week for the week of competition ending Tuesday, Nov. 8, the conference office announced Thursday. This is Tereshchenko's second career weekly honor and the first weekly recognition for a Rebel diver this season.
Tereschenko, from East Brunswick, New Jersey, recorded two second-place finishes in the Rebels' meets at Utah and BYU. He came within two-hundredths of a point of matching UNLV's program record in a second-place finish in the 1-meter competition (321.23) at Utah and added another second-place finish in the 1-meter event at BYU in a 5-dive format. Additionally, Tereshchenko took third on the 3-meter springboard against the Cougars and fifth on the 3-meter springboard (238.28) against the Utes.
UP NEXT: UNLV's divers will travel to Southern California this weekend for USC's Trojan Diving Invitational taking place Friday-Sunday, Nov. 11-13.
