LIHU'E, HAWAI'I (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's golf team continued play at the 45th John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Lihu'e, Kaua'i Friday, carding a 1-over (289) as a team in the second round to move to 3-over and tied for 11th overall. Senior J.J. Gresco turned in the best individual round of the day for the Rebels, a 2-under 70, jumping up the leaderboard into a tie for 24th at 1-under with freshman Aaron Jarvis, who shot a 1-over 73 Friday.  

Senior David David Raunch carded a a 1-under 71 to move up into a tie for 60th at 4-over, while freshman Tommy Kimmel is one shot behind Raunch in a tie for 69th at 5-over. Senior Jack Kozlowski, competing as an individual, is tied for 76th at 6-over, followed by sophomore Caden Fioroni in a tie for 84th at 7-over.   

Arizona had another double-digit under-par day to stay atop the leaderboard at 24-under 552, but the Wildcats' lead was cut down to three strokes after second-place New Mexico shot a 14-under Friday to get to 21-under for the tournament. Rounding out the top five is BYU in third at 11-under, Fresno State in fourth at 9-under and Washington State at 5-under. Cal's Aaron Du moved into first place at 11-under 133 in the individual standings thanks to a 5-under 67 Friday, followed by USC's Shane Ffrench in second at 8-under 136. New Mexico teammates Brandon Shong and Bastien Amat and Cal's Simon Kwon are all tied for third at 7-under.
