LIHU'E, HAWAI'I (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's golf team concluded play at the 45th John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Lihu'e, Kaua'i Saturday, finishing in 12th at 13-over 877. For the second straight day, senior J.J. Gresco was the top Rebel performer, shooting an even 72 to finish in a tie for 20th at 1-under.

Freshman Aaron Jarvis was the next highest Rebel finisher in a tie for 52nd at 6-over 222, followed by senior David David Raunch in a tie for 58th at 7-over 223. Sophomore Caden Fioroni carded a 2-over 74 in the final round to finish in a tie for 69th at 9-over 225, while freshman Tommy Kimmel came in one shot behind Fioroni at 10-over 226 to tie for 76th. Senior Jack Kozlowski, competing as an individual, tied for 89th at 12-over 228.

Arizona had held the lead through two rounds, but surrendered the team title on the final day to New Mexico after the Lobos were one of just three teams to shoot an under-par round Saturday, carding a 4-under to win the tournament at 25-under 839. The Wildcats still finished in second at 16-under 848 despite shooting eight over on the day, followed by Utah in third at 11-under 853, BYU in fourth at 6-under 858 and Texas A&M in fifth at 4-under 860. Cal's Aaron Du, the leader to start the final round, completed his medalist honors with a 2-under 70 to win the event at 13-under 203. New Mexico's Sam Choi and Texas A&M's Sam Bennett finished tied for second at 11-under 205, followed by fellow Aggie Daniel Rodrigues and New Mexico's Brandon Shong in a tie for fourth at 8-under 208.
