LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's's swimming and diving team will look for the team title repeat in the Lone Star State this week at the 2022 WAC Championships being held Wednesday (Feb. 23) through Saturday (Feb. 26) at CRWC Natatorium on the campus of the University of Houston.
Each day's events will begin with the prelims at 8:30 a.m. PT/10:30 a.m. CT and end with the finals at 4 p.m. PT/6 p.m. CT. For a full schedule of events, visit the WAC Championship Central link on WACsports.com.
In this year's WAC Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll, UNLV was selected by the league's six head coaches as the favorite to take home the conference hardware for the second straight year with five first-place votes and 25 points.
Fans can watch the action via livestream on the WAC Digital Network for the prelims sessions. The finals sessions can be viewed on ESPN+ with a subscription by domestic viewers, as well as the WAC Digital Network for international spectators. UNLV WAC LEADERS: Among the WAC times standings, the Rebel men sit atop the conference in 10 events after the regular season. Headlining that group with two top-ranked marks apiece are junior
Panos Bolanos in the 100 back (46.48) and 200 back (1:41.18), junior Cam Castro in the 1000 free (9:21.07) and 1650 free (15:04.59) and freshman
Adnan Beji in the 200 breast (1:55.71) and 100 IM (50.25). Senior
Sam Willstrop's 100 breast (52.74), junior
Chris Mykkanen's 500 free (4:19.62), sophomore
George Ratiu's 100 fly (46.90) and freshman
Dominik Bujak's 400 IM (3:46.62) times round out that list.
