LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's swimming and diving team matched a program record with 15 individuals named to the 2022 Mountain West Swimming and Diving All-Conference Team, the league announced Tuesday. This tied the Rebels' record for highest number of All-Conference honorees set in 2021. 
 
Headlining the list of Rebel honorees in three separate events each were super senior Kate Afanasyeva (50 free; 100 back, 100 free), seniors Kristina Schneider (50 free; 100 free; 200 free) and Teneka Ash (200 fly; 500 free; 1650 free), and sophomore Ruby Howell (200 IM; 400 IM; 200 breast).

Adding to the Scarlet and Gray contingent to receive the recognition in multiple events, seniors Carissa Armijo (500 free; 200 fly), Lindsay Swail (100 back; 200 back), Julia Filippova (200 free; 1650 free) and Gabby Lizzul (400 IM, 200 fly) along with sophomores Blanka Bokros (100 fly; 200 fly), Calysta Bartlett (100 breast; 200 breast) had two top-8 finishes apiece.

Seniors Ava Haase (100 free) and Kacey Kiuchi (200 free), as well as sophomores Malia Fernandez (100 free), Sarah Koopmans (100 fly) and Tosia Iwanowska (100 breast)  rounded out UNLV's list of individuals with the honors.
 
The Rebels' three school record-setting squads in the 200 medley relay (Afanasyeva, Bartlett, Koopmans, Schneider) 400 medley relay (Afanasyeva, Bartlett, Koopmans, Schneider) and 200 free relay (Afanasyeva, Schneider, Fernandez, Haase), and the Scarlet and Gray's 400 free relay team (Fernandez, Afanasyeva, Haase, Schneider) also landed among the MW selections.
