LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team lost the doubles point but rallied in a big way in singles to down UC San Diego 4-1 in the first of two matches on a hot March Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels evened their record at 9-9 while the Toreros fell to 5-12.
The visitors took the first two completed doubles matches to build a 1-0 lead.
In singles, UNLV quickly ended things with four straight-set wins from
Christopher Bulus,
Jordan Sauer,
Zac Brodney and
Zach Garner.
REBEL OF THE MATCH:
Christopher Bulus, ranked 84
th nationally, tied the match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at the top of the lineup over Daniel Traxler.
