LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's tennis team downed Illinois State 4-1 to close out a doubleheader sweep Wednesday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The Rebels opened the day by downing NAU 4-2.
 
UNLV improved to 6-7 while the Redbirds fell to 5-12.
 
UNLV grabbed a 1-0 lead by winning two of three doubles matches. Christopher Bulus and Zach Garner eked out a tiebreaker victory on court two to give the Rebels the point.
 
In singles, Bulus and Milos Dabic won in straight sets and then Jordan Sauer rallied to down Melker Isaksson, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, on court two to end things.
 
UP NEXT: UNLV hosts another doubleheader on Saturday, facing DePaul at 10 a.m. and then Seattle at 3 p.m. Admission to all matches is free of charge.
