Rebels Walk It Off Over Wolf Pack

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV baseball team secured the win over the Wolf Pack, 9-8, with a walk off in the 10th inning Sunday afternoon at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. 

The Rebels saw their record improve to 21-11 (12-3 MW), while the Wolf Pack dropped to 16-14 (9-5 MW).

REBEL OF THE GAME: Austin Kryszczuk went 3-for-4 at the plate, scoring three runs, including his fifth home run of the season, for the Rebels. 

TURNING POINT: The ballgame was tied 8-8 going into the home half of the 10th frame, only for the Rebels to load the bases with two hits to walk it off. 

Sam Simon (1-1) earned his first win of the season after pitching 1 inning of relief and allowing only one hit. 

Tyler Cochran (2-2) was saddled with the loss after pitching 1.1 innings of relief, allowing four runs on four hits and three strikeouts. 

UP NEXT: The Rebels will continue their 13-game homestand against Dixie State Tuesday. First pitch is slated for 6:05 p.m.

GAME NOTES
- Every run scored by the Rebels, excluding the walk off, was off of a home run.
- This series is the only regular-season series between both programs, the Wolf Pack secured the Silver State Series win. 
- The Rebels still own a 16-game lead in the all-time head-to-head series notching 91 wins to 74 losses. 

PURCHASE TICKETS
Single-game ticket prices this season are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, faculty and staff, and $5 to groups of 15 or more. Fans that purchase tickets online before game day can get them for an advanced single-game price of $6. 

All high school, middle school and elementary students are free under UNLV's new admission policy. To receive free admission, high school students must present valid Nevada are school I.D. at the box office on gameday for one (1) complimentary ticket. Current UNLV students will receive free admission with a valid school I.D. All other students will receive a complimentary ticket at the box office (no I.D. required). Kids not yet elementary school age will continue to receive free admission for all UNLV Olympic sports.
