LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV Athletics saw a total of 156 student-athletes named to the Spring 2022 Academic All-Mountain West Team, the conference announced Monday. 

The Rebels have now placed at least 70 representatives on the spring list for 19 consecutive years. 

Three UNLV programs produced a minimum of 20 honorees each with 31 honorees from baseball, 25 from women's track & field and 21 from women's swimming and diving. Cross Country also reached double figures in the number of student-athletes recognized with 14.

Additionally, women's basketball was represented by nine student-athletes, men's golf, men's tennis and women's tennis had seven honorees apiece, men's basketball had five honorees and women's golf was represented by four honorees.

Overall, 1,313 student-athletes were named to the Spring 2022 Academic All-MW Team.

To be eligible for the 2022 Spring Academic All-Conference Team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. 

2021-22 ACADEMIC YEAR: The Scarlet & Gray had a total of 228 student-athletes earn Academic All-MW Team honors this year: 72 for Fall 2021, 35 honorees from football, 12 representatives from volleyball, 18 for women's soccer and seven from women's cross country. Additionally, UNLV had 19 student-athletes earn 2021-22 Academic All-WAC, as 12 were recognized from men's swimming & diving and seven more from men's soccer.
